To further deepen the group’s executives and employees’ understanding of the low-altitude economy and to provide insights and methodologies for building a smart port, the Municipal Port Investment Group hosted the fourth session of its 2025 “Port & Shipping Academy” on the afternoon of April 18. Titled "Development and Application Scenarios of the Low-Altitude Economy," the training was held in the multi-functional conference room on the second floor of the Innovation Building. Organized by the Municipal Port Investment Group and undertaken by Zhongqi Haihang (Guangdong) Marine Technology Co., Ltd., the event featured Professor Li Caisheng from the School of Urban Transportation and Logistics at Shenzhen Technology University, as well as a lecturer at both the Shenzhen Municipal Party School and the Shenzhen Municipal Party School of Reform and Opening-up. Over 100 participants attended, including all staff members from the group’s headquarters, leadership teams and mid-to-senior level managers from companies under (or controlled by) the group, and all trainees enrolled in the 2025 Talent Management Capacity Enhancement Program offered by the Municipal Port Investment Group. The training focused on drones and their practical applications across various scenarios, exploring how the burgeoning low-altitude industry can help logistics and transportation firms boost revenue, streamline urban management, and even drive transformative changes in defense and military industries. Through real-world case studies and detailed analyses, attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in the low-altitude economy.

Professor Li began with an analysis of the drone industry, thoroughly examining real-world application cases of drones in areas such as logistics delivery, inspection and monitoring, and urban management. He also provided a forward-looking perspective on the commercial potential of future vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, while offering insights into the policies driving the development of the low-altitude airspace sector. Professor Li emphasized that establishing robust low-altitude airspace management mechanisms will further unlock the market potential of the low-altitude economy, urging businesses to closely monitor industry developments, align their strategies with regulatory requirements, and proactively seize emerging growth opportunities.

The training session concluded successfully in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere. Participants unanimously praised the comprehensive content and broadened perspectives, noting that it not only deepened their understanding of the low-altitude economy but also provided valuable insights for the group’s future strategic positioning in cutting-edge technologies and emerging business models. The session was highly forward-looking and guiding in nature. Moving forward, the group will continue to closely monitor developments in the low-altitude economy and other new economic sectors, while tailoring high-quality training programs to meet the needs of its employees and managers. This proactive approach will help the organization stay ahead of evolving trends, firmly anchoring itself on the path of high-quality growth and continuous progress.
